Empowering Pops with Sam Cooper

MADDIE'S CIRCLE: SUN at 4:00P
Have you ever loved a popular melody but disliked the lyrics? Maybe you’ve loved the beat of a song but didn’t connect with the message? Some songs are laced with disempowering lyricism and that’s fine; songs work in mysterious ways. But sometimes I loop off into a parrot of something I actually deplore, and that’s weird. If you can relate, come hear Rachele Eve and I play a couple songs we’ve repurposed. After this, we'll play a jumpstarter game and either vote on a tune to tweak together, or work quietly amongst the group. Time pending, we'll have a show and tell for the brave rewriters among us...
