Michael Beauchamp-Cohen

the Barn

Michael Beauchamp-Cohen is a 6'0" tall man from Kalamazoo, MI. He combines a crooner's heart with a puncher's spirit, and wraps it all together to create a splendid smorgasbord of songs that are simultaneously depressive and life-affirming. His favorite food is pizza. His favorite live album is 'Blues at Sunrise' by Albert King. His favorite sister is Kate. His favorite tears are of, or related to, joy. He's playing at 3:00pm on Saturday at the Barn. There's a 60% chance he will trim his mustache for the show.

Here's an Emily Dickinson poem (#260):

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog!
